About Microsoft365 Integration

Microsoft 365 captures all of your favourite Office apps, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and so so much more.

Fundamentally, if you have an Office app, you can link it to automation in some way. From changing a spreadsheet that you manually add to, every day, to converting a Word document to pdf and saving it in OneDrive (which syncs to a Dropbox & a Google Drive), you might find that you're limited by your imagination before what you can do in Microsoft.

Over the years, Simple Foundry has helped teams with a number of different solutions using Microsoft365. Here's some examples:

  • Safety Teams - Set up a digital accident notification form (with picture & file uploads). On completion, it notifies the site management & function in a custom email (with the attached images/files), saves the uploads in a GDPR safe file, creates a subfolder in the 'Accident' folder on Teams, and automatically adds all the relevant accident information to a tracker table on Excel, which then automatically updates a PowerBI dashboard. This has been done for single & multiple sites
  • Safety Teams - As above, but for a DSE self-assessment, pre-start checks, ladder tags, defect cards, risk assessments, dynamic risk assessments, and more
  • HR Teams - Submit an annual leave request form for manager approval, which sends a custom acknowledgement email to the submitter, and a push notification to the phone of the manager when it becomes live. Should the manager accept it, the submitter is automatically notified, and a new row in an Excel Annual Leave tracker is created, and a calendar invite sent to the manager to remind them of the dates the submitter is away.
  • Engineering Teams - Defects are logged through a Microsoft Form, which automatically adds to a live SharePoint list for defect logs, creating a planner (to do) task for the engineer on-shift to complete.

The above are some very simple examples of what can be achieved. Below are some examples of the pre-populated solutions that you can find on Microsoft. Plug and play with the help of Simple Foundry:
